I am a resident of Illinois but have been going to college in Tennessee for 3 years. I am still considered a resident of Illinois so I could stay on my dad’s healthcare(and since I’m a student). I didn’t plan on coming to Tennessee and getting pregnant, but it has happened. I’m having a little boy in February. I’m 20 years old and have no clue where to go for the baby’s healthcare. The father is still on his parents healthcare since he is also a student and neither of our parents healthcares extend to grandchildren( i didn’t think it would anyway). In order to be eligible for TennCare Medicare in Tennessee, I have to be a resident, but if I do that I am taken off my dad’s healthcare and once I have the baby he will be insured through TennCare, but they could easily kick me off. I have a job and so does the father but not nearly enough to cover private health insurance. I feel like I’ve exhausted every option. Please any suggestions? I would just like my baby to be safe and not have to pay an arm and a leg.
Thank you!
Well it’s hard for my husband and I but we pay out of pocket for our daughter. We both have insurance on our own but it costs us $108 a month for her insurance. We have had to just cut things that aren’t necesities (ie: $11 basic cable instead of $45, no home phone or internet saving $65, etc). It has been worth it for us b/c since my daughter was born she has had tubes put in her ears 4 times, she has had her adnoids and tonsils removed, and all the other normal kids sicknesses…who knowa how much all that would have cost w/o insurance. Take a good look at your budget and see what you can cut and I am sure you can work it out. Good Luck!

Find What You're Looking For At Very Easy Babies...
Debating on getting a degree in the health care field (DPT) and was wandering how long the boom will be for health care jobs? Will it be up for fifteen years and then crash, mass lay offs, businesses going under and so forth? Getting the full job out look.
Though the common consensus is that the US population will continue to grow, and thus so should the number of health care jobs. However, even if the US population should stablize, the complexity of health will continue to convolute due to technology, politics, etc. Thus, the number of jobs will also continue to grow as long as the number of people leaving the health care field > or = to people entering. Looking for a job? Consider health care job FIELDS where the above formula is true, such as technicians or nursing.

need someone to help me fight for my baby to recieve the health care he needs to have a normal life.. he is missing much of the left side of his brain and our doctors have rquested for treatments that are repeatedly being denied.. someone please help my baby boy!!
I’m no medical person, but how ‘normal’ would treatment be ? Do you want some well meaning person to ‘foot the bill’ ? There are people like that and it ends up an ‘experiment’ issue.
I’m in favour of Assisted Voluntary Euthanasia – a ‘hot topic’ in the U.K. (people have to go to Switzerland) – are those who help them go – guilty
(aiding and abetting) Do you believe there just might be (something ‘up there’) that death down here isn’t an actual ‘end’ – but only for the physical side or part.
